RAFTING AND KAYAKING TRIPS

The upper stretches of the Colorado River feature some of Colorado’s finest and most popular whitewater trips for rafters, kayakers, families, and large groups. Rancho Del Rio offers a wide variety of rafting trips on the Upper Colorado, from an easy half-day family trip to an ultimate whitewater adventure in Gore Canyon! One of the most popular day trips is the Full-Day, Class II – III run from the Pumphouse in Lower Gore Canyon to Rancho Del Rio. Multiday trips with overnight camping are also available – traveling downstream through scenic valleys and ranch lands, there is ample time for relaxing, swimming, hiking, and fishing.

We have separated our trips into 2 categories to help you select a trip that is best for you. Select any one for rates and details.

Upper Colorado River

The Upper Colorado River, between Rancho Del Rio and State Bridge, is the best option for families with young children and anyone who wants fun, easy rapids, plus beautiful scenery. Enjoy frequent wildlife sightings and listen to guides tell of the infamous “Three Fingered Willie”, a miner whose cabin can be toured during the trip. In the spring, when sunny weather tends to melt the incredible snowfall that the Vail Valley receives each winter, this is a great introduction to whitewater rafting.
